My name is Jed Leano

About Me

I am currently serving as Vice Chair of the Community and Human Services Commission. As a Commissioner, in addition to overseeing community response to homelessness, youth and senior programs, special events, sanitation, urban forest management, and landscape and lighting, I also sit on the Tree Committee, Committee on Human Relations, and Independence Day Committee. I am the alternate commission liaison for the Committee on Aging.

I am passionate about my community and eager to serve the City of Claremont.

Outside of Commission duties, I am the lead attorney for the Claremont United Methodist Church’s quarterly immigration law and naturalization clinic, I am a member of the Immigration Taskforce at Uncommon Good, member and certified Tree Steward with Sustainable Claremont, member of the Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, and member of the Pomona Valley United Nations Association.

Before moving to Claremont, I lived in Pasadena, where I was President of the Pasadena Jaycees, member of the Tournament of Roses, and Legal Counsel for the United States Jaycees. I also founded the Neighborhood Immigration Clinic, which now has over 15 clinic sites at churches throughout southern California.

I am passionate about my community and eager to serve the City of Claremont.
